About the image:

A bit of an inside joke with the Gebbers family of Brewster, Washington, where the large original commissioned painting hangs in Gamble Sands Golf Course Conference Center..  Yes, you ARE looking at a lovely vista in the foothills, towards Washington’s Cascade mountains.  Florida?  The graceful, muscly cutting horse is named for the blaze on his forehead... a surprisingly accurate outline of the state of Florida!  He is indeed looking at Texas….Texas Creek, that is, and the Cascades beyond, while enjoying a break in the day’s ride.  Sturdy black Angus cattle dot the highlands, the substance of the Gebbers Cattle grass-fed beef ranching operation.  The long-established Gebbers family, whose Scottish ancestor first arrived in the early 1830’s, work together in this beautiful but often harsh landscape to make their mark in ranching, orcharding, and golfing.
