About the Image:
The water of life, as it’s termed in Scotland, is found everywhere, & like most things, indulging to excess is the sad cause of extensive problems. A wee dram occasionally, though, especially on a damp cold winter’s evening, can do wonders for the spirits! I am forever intrigued by label designs & the lovely transparent glow of coloured bottles, full or not. This rather haphazard array of spirits in a shop window in Sterling was a “must paint.”
